What Is A Zip and Link Bed?

It is essentially one large bed that can quickly and easily separated into two single beds. The Divan bed bases are connected together with linking bars and the two mattresses are attached together via the use of a central zip, allowing the quick and easy transformation of one larger bed into two separate twin beds.

One of the greatest advantages of this type of bed is the flexibility offered – a King or Super King sized bed can easily be transformed into 2 good-sized single beds as and when required, swiftly transforming a twin room into a double room with great ease.

Zip and Link Beds provide a good option for couples with different sleeping preferences in terms of sleeping positions, comfort styles or for those with a significant difference in body weight. Further flexibility is provided by the option of selecting two different types of mattresses for this bed, with a level of firmness tailored to suit individual comfort preferences – nurturing a more restful night’s sleep.

Storage

Many of the Zip and Link beds come with optional storage space in the form of drawers to offer space saving solutions to any bedroom. Choose from 2 side drawers, 2 end drawers or 4 drawers.

Easy Transportation

The Zip and Link bed is easier to transport and move around than a larger double bed. This is especially useful in buildings where stairways or doorways are tight, and a larger bed causes transportation complications.

Are They Comfortable?

Our Zip and Link Beds are made using the finest quality materials and are engineered to offer outstanding support and comfort. The Zip and Link Divan Bed Base is engineered using FSC certified timber and offers strength, durability and additional support for the mattress and the base top is covered in a anti-slip fabric to ensure the mattress remains in place.

We offer an extensive selection of different types of mattresses to suit individual requirements and varying budgets, many of which can be ordered in your personal specification comfort level from medium, medium firm to firm. Our Zip and Link Mattresses are pocket or coil sprung combined with different types of filling including memory foam, lay gel foam, cool blue fillings or natural fillings all layered with the finest upholstery materials. The linking zip is discreetly located at the side of the mattress and cannot be felt.

Our Zip and Link Divan Bed bases come with easy to assemble linking bars and feet and are available in a wide range of colour fabric options; swatches are available upon request.

Headboards are available to order separately – we advise buying two separate headboards as a one-piece headboard should only be purchased if you do not intend to separate the beds.

Please note: our standard size divan beds do not have zips to link them together.
